All About Me
My name is Suzette Schimm. This will be my 5th year teaching Pre-K and Kindergarten at the University of Michigan- Dearborn Early Childhood Center. I am a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and I am currently working toward getting my Masters Degree in Education from Michigan State University.
I grew up in Canton, Michigan where I graduated from Plymouth High School. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. It is my favorite thing to do. I am a big fan of the US Women's National Team! I even taught at boys soccer team for a few years and would love to get to do this again in the future!
My husband and I live in Westland, Michigan. We have two adorable cats at home, Harley and Quinn. They provide constant entertainment and snuggles! We love to travel and experience new things! We went to Italy and Greece for our honeymoon last year. We really enjoyed getting experience a different culture, try new food and learn about the history each place had to offer!
At home I like to cook and bake. I have a VERY large sweet tooth so desserts are my favorite! I am always looking for new recipes to try! This means I also watch a lot of cooking shows looking for inspiration. I'm no Gordon Ramsey yet but I'm working on it! I also enjoy sports! Hockey and football are my two of my favorites! I also love to spend time outside, whether it be by the campfire or on the lake.
